The River Scene

Reflection across the ripples of the glass

Of crowded shoreline trees

With turning red orange leaves,

Hawks circle above the cliff

On the bank opposite,

And the warm sun set,

It will be dark, but not yet,

The wind moves the tall grass

With the narrow path between,

On day, she will find me

As I found this scene,

This Love will grow into a picture

Beauty more colorful,

And a reality more wonderful.

With all the peace and stillness of nature,

And the horizon serene.

In the dynamic routine

Of morning and evening,

Love and friendship,

And everything in between.

Our hands together,

One day.

One day.
